The time has arrived.

As we ready Te Whenua Taurikura to close the doors one last time next month, Te Taumata, our iwi shareholder council, the General Partner Limited Board, and kaimahi extend a warm invitation to whānau, iwi, partners, Whānau Ora Navigators, Connectors, past kaimahi, entities, and friends – all who have played a role in shaping the pathway of Whānau Ora in Te Waipounamu to this point – to join us one final time as we celebrate and acknowledge all that whānau have achieved since 2014.

Regional poroporoaki will start at the end of the month in Te Tauihu, before moving south to Te Tai Poutini, Ōtepoti, and Murihiku, and finishing on Thursday, May 15, with a final poroporoaki at Ngā Hau E Whā Marae in Ōtautahi.

While hearts are still heavy, it is also with great pride that we look back. We hope the regional poroporoaki will provide an opportunity for the Whānau Ora network to come together and hold fast to the connections made. We also want to thank and celebrate all of you who have taken hold of your dreams, believed in whānau and believed in the kaupapa that is Whānau Ora.

We intend to finish as we started – connected, grateful, appreciative and full of aroha for this network that has collectively enabled brilliance in every corner of Te Waipounamu.
